11 June 1967,
Bertsolari Xalbador applauded the Txistus in Donostia. The top ten bertsolaris of the time played the Bertsolaris National Championship.
Fernando Aire Xalbador went to the end to compete with the txapela Uztapide. Their language was difficult for the Gipuzkoans who filled the pediment and the jury’s ruling was taken in the voice of Txistu. The txistu lasted five and a half minutes, the longest in the history of a bertsolari.
He approached the microphone, started singing and re-sliced whistles. However, he hunted words left in the air and ended up like this.
You
are not to blame, no, I: you have
beaten the beeps, but I
still want you!
It caused a lot of applause and tears without concealing.
