Sojoumer Truth, an abolitionist black woman, dies. She was born a slave in New York, named after Isabella Bomefree. At the age of 40, he got freedom, got rid of the name of a slave and fought for the equality of black women. It also denounced the oppression of women in the black rights movement.
He had to overcome many obstacles, abolitionist in a slave society, black among white reformists and women in a movement dominated by the hombres.AyudHe forced former slaves to find decent jobs.
One of his sons was sold slave and he brought the new owner to court, about to reach abolition. In the United States, she became the first woman to win a trial on a white man and release her son.
