Simon Bolivar was born in Caracas (Venezuela). The independence of Latin American countries was one of the main drivers of the processes. He was released from Spain and participated in the founding of Greater Colombia, where he was president, among others. He tried to create a political and military confederation with the rest of America. It is a high-level political figure for the South American left. In Euskal Herria, his family was born in Ziortza-Bolibar.
