The Spanish Police carried out a raid against the youth organization. 34 young people were arrested at night and eight managed to flee.
It was the largest raid against Segi since its legalization in 2002. The Police conducted more than 100 examinations and finally made a trial against 40 members. "ETA quarry headed off," Rubalcaba said.
Many young people reported to Judge Grande-Marlaska that they were tortured during detention. The bond of 750,000 euros was deposited on the street.
Thousands of people were protested on the street during the demonstration in Bilbao.
In 2014, the Spanish National Court acquitted the 40 defendants.
