The demonstrators in Manchester prevented the concertation of the famous British fascist Oswald Mosley. Although he tried to protect the fascist police, he was unable to support the anti-fascists and ended up sounding, and Mosley himself received a punch. The anti-fascists boycotted during that year many acts of Mosley throughout England and their presence in working-class neighborhoods became a source of conflict.
