A Nazi plane landed on the beach of La Concha, in San Sebastian. II. He was about to end the World War, Hitler committed suicide and the Soviets had taken Berlin. Belgian officer Léon Degrelle, together with two other pilots, fled on the plane. Their aim was to reach Spain in Franco and they landed in San Sebastian for lack of fuel. Although the allies condemned death in absentia, Degrelle died in Malaga at the age of 87 and took refuge in Spain. One of the pilots he accompanied was installed for a few years in Errenteria.
