The Nazis carried out a raid in Zuberoa against the citizens of the Hospital. The liberation of France from the Nazis was close, and the machines carried out numerous acts and sabotages against the Germans in Zuberoa. In compensation, 500 Nazi soldiers looted, burned and arrested all suspected of helping the machines. Nineteen detainees, nine deportees and eight murdered. Some deportees also died in concentration camps.
