The musician Mikel Laboa died at 74. He was part of the avant-garde group Ez Dok Amairu, who reactivated Basque culture during Franco's time and censorship, and later, alone, walked the way. It was highlighted by the combination of tradition and experimentation, and at that time it had as few echo beyond the borders of the Basque Country. He retrieved traditional Basque songs and musicated works from many poets and was innovative in the song model. Txoria txori, for example, about the letter of Joxean Artze, is one of the most known Basque songs.
