David Alvarez was seriously injured in the shooting between ETA members and civilian guards at Lemoiz

In Lemoiz there was a shooting between several members of ETA m and civil guards near the nuclear power plant. An ETA command of four members attempted to commit an attack. A shooting starts with the civil guards protecting the building and a bullet hits David Álvarez. He was brutally beaten and died in the hospital a few months later from injuries.
Many demonstrations took place in different towns and cities. There were major disturbances in San Sebastian and a group of protesters destroyed the offices of Iberduero.
According to Wikipedia, the coming days were days of tension: on December 19 there was a demonstration in Plentzia and many shops closed. The following day a demonstration was held in Algorta. On 21, 7 people were arrested, including Mario Álvarez Peña, brother of the wounded. He was imprisoned for insulting the Civil Guard. In Bilbao he was in favor and many people went to the hospital to donate blood.
