09 December 1987,
The first Intifada begins in Palestine. On the eve of the assassination of four Palestinians in the Israeli refugee camp in Jabalia, a disarmed civil resistance was launched in Gaza and soon spread to the West Bank. It lasted six years and sent a message to the world: the Palestinians do not accept the occupation of Israel.
