The Falangists murdered five women from the Modistas union in Mallorca. They were transferred from prison to the Montuïri convent, humiliated, tortured and shot. Their names are: Catalina Flaquer, Antònia Pascual, Maria Pascual, Belarmina González and Aurora Picornell i Femenias. The latter was one of the great leaders of the Balearic Islands of the Communist Party, a lay, feminist and republican person.
