13 November 1980,
Joakin Antimasbere was killed by Spanish Basque Battalion in Urnieta. When he was out of juerga, he and his friend Andrés Etxeberria were shot by far-right gunmen.
Etxeberria was severely injured. Although at first El Diario Vasco announced that the deceased was a member of it, residents knew that Antimasberg had nothing to do with the armed organization. The funeral was multitudinous and as a Roman, representatives of the Roma community and the City Hall met.
Minister Rosón wanted to link murder with debates on Roma integration in the people.
