In order to obstruct the construction of the Itoiz reservoir, the City of Lónguida prohibited the entry of trucks to the town. In the plenary of the city it was agreed to prevent the passage of machines and excavators involved in the construction of the reservoir. The decision was important because the only way to access the reservoir was through it. They also called for the "immediate cessation of the works of the Itoiz reservoir" and the mayor adhered to the 24-hour call by the coordinator of Itoiz to the elected offices of Navarra. The town of Lónguida ended up flooding when the reservoir was filled. In the photo, works by Itoiz in 1994.
