22 August 1906,
There were serious incidents in the mining strike in Bilbao. The authorities established the state of emergency. It was a strike called by the Socialists to call for a reduction in working time and the payment of overtime. On strike there were four deaths in Setars and two serious injuries in Ortuella. In Durango, the railroad was dynamited. Considering that the strike approach was inadequate and that the results were being obtained were scarce, the protest ended when the participants recommended their return to work.
