The Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia ordered that the teaching of the fourth part of the subjects be carried out in Spanish, at the request of a single student. Despite the appeal brought by the Generalitat, the Supreme Court confirms the imposition by endangering the Catalan model of immersion. The judges also rejected the proposal of the Generalitat and the Parliament of Catalonia, which excluded percentages. Two years earlier, the Spanish Minister of Education, José Ignacio Wert, said that his objective was to "Spanish" Catalan children.
