25 November 1975,
Several South American countries secretly signed the Condor Plan. Powered and financed by EE.UU. to put an end to any left-wing insurrection through state terrorism. The documentation found in Paraguay in December 1992 shows who was part of the alliance: Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil and Bolivia, including occasionally Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador and Colombia. Repressive forces to fight parties, trade unions, student movements or any action against dictatorships agreed to cooperate. It is estimated that thousands of people were tortured, 50,000 killed, 30,000 missing and 400,000 imprisoned.
