The police killed 15 people on Tarajal beach in Ceuta. Of the group of 200 migrants who tried to reach Europe, 90 managed to reach the Tarajal border and tried to cross by swimming. The Civil Guard launched rubber balls and smoke boats to prevent landing. 14 people were drowned to death and another disappeared. 23 people were sent across the boundary without formal procedure. The cause of the civil guards who caused the murder is repeatedly filed by the Spanish courts.
