Greenpeace was born in Vancouver, Canada. A group of antinuclear activists in the country, and conscientious objections exiled in Canada not to attend the Vietnam War with the Army of the EE.UU, carried out direct, non-violent actions against nuclear tests. The United States was on the verge of being tested on the island of Amchitka in Alaska, where they came with an old fishing boat in order to try to suspend it.
