04 March 1976,
Cegasa workers held a strike in Vitoria to denounce the massacre caused by the Spanish police the day before. The city lived in a dark atmosphere. The day before, when the workers were gathered in the church in response to the call for a general strike, the Spanish police killed five workers and hundreds of wounded by shooting. The following day, among others, Andoni Txasko Díaz Zaramaga went with three friends to see how the surroundings looked. One day a Jeep approached and several cops beat him. He was beaten in one eye with vision and almost left blind.
