The war situation was declared in Bizkaia. The mining strike was becoming increasingly contentious. That day the workers took Bilbao and brought chaos. There were also armed clashes with deaths and injuries. The Socialists were also unable to control striking miners, and they took the army out into the street to take the city. After three days, on 31 October, the workers were announced to win, who from 1 January they were going to execute their requests: collect the salary weekly and be able to make the purchases where they wanted.
