03 February 1522,
The Revolution of the Comuneros of Castilla ended with the failure of the Toledo rebellion. In 1519, concern among the Castilian producing bourgeoisie, the artisans, the low nobility, the clergy and the peasants grew with the emperor Charles, who had proposed to raise funds for the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire of Germania, among others. The Castilian cities disobeyed the emperor and constituted the Courts and General Meetings of the Kingdom, delegating the cities to their revolutionary powers. It's considered the first revolution of the modern age.
