Eduardo Chillida was born in San Sebastian. He is one of the most famous sculptors in the Basque Country and his works have a great presence in society, not only in the Museo Chillida Leku, but also in several well-known logos. For example, those from the UPV/EHU, the EU, Kutxa and the Pro-Amnesty Commission. Among his most famous works is the San Sebastian Wind Comb. He was the vanguard of the artists He was the founder of the Gaur group in the 1960s, he rooted his work in abstractionism and constructivism, and his relationship with Jorge Oteiza was recognized, as they accused each other of plagiarizing his works. They reconciled with a hug. He died at age 78.
