11 June 1968,
In France, the police killed two workers during the eviction operation of the occupied Peugeot plant in Sochaux. The day before the workers began the strike when they learned that the management wanted to recover the days lost after the strikes of May that year. Even though the police took the factory hard, the workers managed to recover it. Once an agreement was reached with the management on 21 June, the workers returned to work.
