30 May 1977,
Mathematics professor Francisco Javier Nuñez dies at the hospital in Basurto. On 14 May, the last day of the week by Amnesty, when he went home with his daughter, he met a demonstration and the Spanish Police beat him very violently.
Two days go to the court to report what happened. However, someone alerted those responsible for the beatings and with a van appeared street dresses but armed. He was arrested, taken to police station and tortured, tethering his hands and placing a funnel in his mouth, drinking a liter of pineapple and castor oil. He was abandoned by his house, about to die. He died a few days later. The Commissioner General denied everything and said he was killed by an old cirrhosis. They have never condemned anyone for this crime.
