48 members of the Tupac Amaru movement fled prison in Peru. Next to the prison, a 250 meter tunnel was drilled into a guerrilla house. Among the fugitives was the leader of the armed group, Victor Polay. Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement was an armed left-wing organization set up in Peru in 1982. Active until 1997.
