The Spanish police rebelled against the peaceful demonstration against NATO in Bilbao. 5,000 people met on the march called by 68 anti-militarist agents. This is a demonstration organised as part of the campaign against NATO which began in autumn 1983 throughout Europe.
Despite the fact that the demonstration had all the permits, the Police wounded more than 50 people, including journalists and elected officials close to the police to ask for explanations.
One protester lost his eye.
