31 August 1813,
English, Scottish and Portuguese soldiers allied themselves with Spaniards who committed a massacre against the Donostiards. For several months the city was besieged to expel the French. After passing the walls and entering the city, the French fortified themselves on Mount Urgull.
Meanwhile, the testimonies showed that all the thieves, almost all the women raped and killed anyone who opposed them. The city was burned and denied.
