Anarchist Buenaventura Durruti dies in Madrid. The day before a shot in defense of the city was seriously wounded. It was one of the charismatic figures of Catalan and Spanish anarchism. He led, among others, the Durruti column, which started Zaragoza at the beginning of the 36th War. His funeral is the most massive funeral in the history of Barcelona and 500,000 people gathered at his farewell. See images.
