Fine Arts students tried to occupy the Museum of Fine Arts in Bilbao at the request of Basque professors

200 fine arts students from the UPV/EHU tried to occupy the museum of fine arts in Bilbao. They didn't let them in saying the museum was closed. Some students got onto the roof to put up a banner and some museum workers helped them. When the Ertzaintza approached, he attacked those outside the door, with several wounded and seven detainees. They were mobilized to get the Euskaldunes professors they needed to be able to complete their studies in Basque and, among other things, they had the faculty occupied. Learn more about this article.
The struggle was extended by the UPV/EHU and a year the university hired 85 Basque professors.
