Iranian imam Khomeini ordered Salman Rushdie to be murdered for his novel "Satanic Bertsos." In addition to representatives of the Muslim religion, the novel was rejected by representatives of the other religions, such as John Paul II. Potatoes. The Khomeini order had serious consequences. The Japanese translator of the novel was killed and the Italian translator and the Norwegian editor were attacked.
