Bartolina Sisa, a revolutionary woman from the indigenous people of Aimara, was born. He was one of the leaders of the Spanish uprising on the site of La Paz. He is considered a hero, so his birth day was declared Indigenous Women's Day. He was killed by the Spanish army.
