Susa has published Miren Amuriza's second novel in the atrium of the Durango Fair: Plead. It's plebiscites because you're singing about an earlier recording. Berria includes the article written by Ainhoa Sarasola, which says Amuriza: it is also inventing one's own language. In fact, one of the most remarkable features of the novel is the style that the writer has created. On the one hand, we find a guy who wants to be close to the language of an adolescent, with structures in Euskera but who uses words, expressions, etc., taken from Castilian: chinada, petata, spawning, fattening. As it puts on the back of the book, built with a language that eats dirty. On the other hand, there are characters who speak in the dialect. The text maintains the orality, but the Basque character of these characters is cleaner.
In the book we will learn the story of two characters who have been friends during adolescence and adolescence. We could say it's kind of a letter from Jon to Polly to understand why the friendship relationship was broken, with no initial greeting or formality. A few years later, Jon will write down what he remembers and thinks about what happened that course. Sometimes in terms of anger, sometimes as sadness. Usually, the book hurts.
Time is as important as storytelling. Musical, cinematographic, television references gather the story. There are local cultural references (Red Olives, Goenkale, Hemendik At! ). Also state or international (Aída series, Spice Girls, Hermione Granger, Friends…). Quicksilver, Filipinos or power point. Brands that make us feel at home like we're at age 20. Chorizo with chocolate Pamplona: a combination that our older adults may not have tried; a benene that combines bad fat and sugar for the offspring.
Amuriza has composed the book of forty short chapters, divided into four chapters. The text has an intense, fast pace. It sparks. You want to read mouth up. You see what you're reading. We also sing is a barbi guel ama beibi gueeee. We continue with the pleas.
It will be because of the skill that the writer has shown to manage language, because history has kept me on, because in the chronicle of his time I have seen the reflection of our youth ... It may be a combination of all this, but the book is Laostia, I just liked it.
