25 October. The Valencian Meteorology Society has announced that next week a cold drop from high temperatures could cause torrential rains in Valencia. Day by day, the forecasts are confirmed, and on 29 October, in the early morning hours, the State Meteorology Agency has activated the red alert. Hours later, this alert joins the alert for the risk of growth of the flows of the Magre and Poio rivers. In a parallel world, the president of the Valencian Generalitat, Carlos Mazón (pp), makes a press conference that ensures that around 6 pm the rain will calm and the risk will pass. It was at that time that the tragedy began.
At 6 p.m., the waters of the Magre River emerged from the Algemesí containment wall and extended throughout the Bank. At six and a half o'clock, the Poio River flowed into the streets of Torrent, and then flooded dozens of large urban centres of l'Horta sur. At that time, everyone made their normal life. Children in after-school activities, workers in industrial estates, open shops, crowded shopping malls. When it was verbally reported that the bridges over the river were shattering a wall of water, logs and all kinds of waste, hundreds or thousands of people tried to save the parked vehicles both in the parking lot and on the street. Right at that time of greatest movement was the disaster. Tens of thousands of people got a message from the emergency room when they were stuck in cars and trucks or grabbed in extremis to a tree that recommended they didn't leave their homes. It was late. The result is well known. Hundreds of dead and missing. Since the tragic events of 25 September 1962 in the Catalan region of Vallès, which has been the most affected.
Politically, it is not in the interest of ratifying that "only the people can save the people", as Berri Txarrak's song says; Carlos Mazón is disturbed by volunteers
If the lack of attention to citizenship was not enough, the government of pp found that it could do even worse. In addition, both President Mazón and Councillor Núria Montes have maintained an arrogant attitude. Families who have lived in the interior with bodies, without water or food, cut roads and railways. The response was imminent and thousands of people left the capital on foot, crossing what is already known as a bridge of solidarity, to the southern channel of the Turia River, where the most affected municipalities are located. Paddles, cubes, gloves, waste bags, water bottles and basic baby food were on the vehicle. Macón's response was a contempt and a threat of them returning home.
In fact, the image of people with a broom in their hand showed that public administrations had failed in managing the disaster. Politically, it is not in the interest of ratifying that "only the people can save the people", as Berri Txarrak's song says. Mazón is annoyed by the volunteers because they perfectly represent the government’s ineffectiveness and lack of foresight. Its government has repeatedly minimized or denied global warming, which places the torrential rains of the Mediterranean in the context of the global climate emergency.
But what he has lived on the streets of Valencia, despite the suffering he has left, has no turning back. The human chains that have cleaned up the street mud are part of the new paradigm of social bonding and confirm that it is time to make important decisions about the world that we want to leave our sons and daughters.

I received your e-mail in personal mail on the strike portals. At first, like many others, I thought it was to let you know what options we have in the face of the strike. But no, the e-mail received was a political and communicative movement against the strike.

This weekend I've been thinking about the word 'aesthetic' in relation to a phrase said by a friend: “This work is aesthetic.” I have studied the etymology of the word aesthetic, it seems that its meaning was originally perceived through the senses, and it was later associated... [+]
In recent years, the concept of industrial policy has reappeared strongly at various levels. The organization that was the hammer of neoliberalism, the International Monetary Fund, today insists that markets have been pressured to allocate resources efficiently and solve these... [+]
The other day in Bilbao, I met a friend at the Bira bar. We were very happy at the Tar and I said: “Of course, since you’re Guipúzcoa, hahahaha.” And he insisted that he was not Guipuzcoan. Without me understanding it, I kept saying, “Ah! Is it not? You were born in New... [+]

We are in the midst of a world imperialist offensive led by the Western bourgeoisie. The form that the imperialist offensive has taken is that of war, with all its variants: economic war, cognitive and cultural war, lawfarr; and, of course, military war. Western imperialism has... [+]
I just saw a series from another sad detective. All the plots take place on a remote island in Scotland. You know how these fictions work: many dead, ordinary people but not so many, and the dark green landscape. This time it reminded me of a trip I made to the Scottish... [+]

And for another year, the unions have organized prefabricated strikes for us. And we, individually, will decide whether or not to join the strike, without the need for any assembly at the school.

Life surrounds everything, it is limited and fragile. To live good lives, it seems to me that the body knows what to do, while the mind, although it knows (when it is well informed), often sees the body deliberately silence. In this silence the mind opens itself to relations... [+]
