Some stories are written in third person; in others we will know a single voice and the perspective of a single character. And there's a story with two voices. The shades are also varied and have used them in a very interesting way: In the story Lau hankan, for example, the irony he uses seeks to criticize the relationship of power that exists between the social class and to relativize one of the characters.
are spaces of everyday life, and all of them are enclosed spaces: bakery, butchery, house, exile, jail, car, kitchen, farmhouse or residence room… The workplace, described very concretely in many stories, or the place of residence, are places where there are many hours. Sometimes it is a refuge for the characters, while in others it can be the refuge that generates suffocation.
In the structure, the narratives are quite circular. We are told a specific moment, and the initial situation is generally clarified at the end. The characters' inner world shows us the details without resorting to retrospective.
In the book I have found a stylistic element that, although each narrative has its own style, in most cases it is present. All stories have a strong, very visual image that produces a stimulating effect: Nora, who gets into the scary bath, a laborer who is picking up how little the others have thrown on four legs, a protagonist who is growing his head, a butcher with a knife in his hand, etc. In addition, the author makes detailed descriptions, plays with the voices and shows us different plans and in each story leaves unclosed loopholes.
I believe that despite being short stories, they require a slow and careful reading, since what is not counted and said is important in this book. That is, what the reader thinks as he reads.
