I was one of those young people who spent hours in front of the computer. Through the Internet, he discovered the thought of other people and cultures of the world, music and audiovisual media. In those days, it wasn't so common to have a device connected to the Internet, and we were in front of the screen, especially watching the connection, because if any family member were calling by phone, they would say goodbye to hear a new download song. In addition, parents only allowed us to connect for a few hours, while no one could call the phone.
With that time limit, I created a place to talk to the crew: each person had a tablith about a gif of a burning saucepan, and there we could leave messages. The need arouses imagination. Young people behave like today, but they don't have the technical limitations that we had. On the contrary, the whole system promotes presence in front of the screen. Attention to people and analysis of behavioral data are the basis of the business model of large companies that support the Internet. Each generation has its own challenges; in the case of our young people, surveillance capitalism limits the ability to channel the future of our peoples. And society is organizing. The Altxa Burua group is concerned about the time we spend on mobiles, and in Educación Librezale it is concerned that the very logic of mobiles that attracts so much young people has been put on the devices and on the clouds of many centers. Gradually, both movements are getting things done, spreading the message in the educational community and laying down ways to find solutions, such as the ban on mobile phones in educational centers and the creation of resources for education that protect the digital rights of students (Iradi prototype).
The Internet was born in 1989, it's changed a lot in a very short time and it's going to transform them. We're learning to confront what we have now, to build a digital model that's more suited to a good life. This learning must also be passed on to young people to acquire the ability to cope with what is coming.

Many at Christmas feel more lazy than illusion when we think about meals and family gatherings. But we anticipate that it is not food that makes us feel collectively uncomfortable, but the normativity that defines the traditional family. Moreover, we would dare to say that the... [+]
