Outside the police state! They sing through the explosions of tear gas. Committed young people, amateur militants, covered faces, or not, clowns, musicians, trade unionists and politicians, doctors with a helmet, farmers on tractors... Both in the countryside and in the city, proud of the armed French police, brave under the helicopter launchers, applauding and raising their hands upwards, they cast loud screams: Let's all be anti-fascists!
"Les soulevements de la terre" is an attempt to magnify French local struggles to seek a wider distribution of the land and to foster resistance. They want to defend the natural spaces of speculation, cement and industrialization. The movement also calls for the ecological and social transition in favour of sustainable agriculture and the care of natural resources. They want to establish a real relationship of forces to free Mother Earth from the destruction of the rural industry and predatory traders. “We are young rebels raised with ecological disaster and precariousness as the only horizon,” they say.
They have been able to break this isolation; they have become a strong focus of union of popular power, spreading to the world images of exemplary struggles, with humor, with a radicality without complexes
Among others, they have faced labour law, police violence, racism, sexism and the apocalypse of the climate. Camp against the airport of Notre-Dame-des-Landes, build the Water City against the Aljibes, raise the cutting wall of the A69, boycott from within the giant pigeons of the cement farm, occupy land to build large shopping centers... They are citizens attached to their territory. There are also farmers and they denounce that France does not recognise them as important. However, to feed society, they are establishing a daily caring relationship with Earth and living beings.
Its means, many: from legal resources to direct actions. More and more people and places come together in front of the concrete lords, standing against macro-projects. Everywhere, their calls and resistances multiply. And they have already achieved several victories!
We are, they say, you, me, you. They call those who feel isolated or powerless in the face of the atomization of struggles, the difficulties to undertake and the insatiable desire to swallow their owners. It is evident that they have been able to break this isolation; they have become a strong meeting point of popular power, opening to the world images of exemplary struggle, with humor, strength, from the insides of Mother Earth, with a radicality without complexes, with the great reason of the little ones... Comrades to learn a lot. Raise the earth!

The end of the Syrian Arab Republic has caused great surprise at the way in which it has taken place: fast and almost without resistance. However, it is not so strange when we consider that the country was destroyed, impoverished and trodden. Most Syrians have long been... [+]
