I'm not very clear if, individually, we have enough power to guide our lives, but we do have to keep trying. Although a lot can be done in groups, every day we have a lonely struggle with ourselves to move forward. Most human beings spend their time standing on the one-way stream of water in which we live. This maintenance seems to me that as knowledge builds up in our civilization, that of human beings, it becomes more complex, because there are more and more variables that need to be taken into account in order to live life in a dignified way. But there are those who know how to understand complexity and navigate, who can harness all that accumulated knowledge for a better life; reaching that point is not easy, we can start by ourselves and build with others.
Summer months are holiday times for some, holidays may be small, a decent place to rest. At this time, we can acquire an attitude that helps us to manage complexity: to educate the attention we pay to the screens. A change in behavior does not happen overnight, especially with screens and digitization, which today are very tangled in our lives. But gradually we can try to leave the screens in second place and take steps to perform other activities. The strategies I usually follow to carry out this change are quite evident: from the point of view of distribution, that is, the screens trying to materialize the game, the relationships and pleasure in work, in management and in creation. On the other hand, the search for spaces: when there are people who need attention in the environment, I give a few hours a day to on-screen tasks, the hours the environment doesn't need. And of course, the most effective thing is to reduce the activity, enjoy this small resting space, shut down the screens and that the current does not take your holiday time!
