We have just finished the elections to the European Parliament and we have not known about the candidates' intentions for the next five years, if not general. Because we've been told that the extreme right comes, and it's true, but also very little, because in some cases it seemed like we were reading semanaries like hello: the president's wife I don't know who plugged in, who awarded a public work to the nearby company...

In view of the election results, everything suggests that Ursula Von der Leyen, the former German Defence Minister, will be at the head of the committee. The voters in your party know that this lady will double the defence spending of EU members and therefore reduce social spending; taxes, especially direct taxes, will not raise them unless they are reduced. However, the European elite will have a hard time bringing our youth to the mili, as the population is not only obsolete, but in our society there is little desire to be a hero. In the French State, the defeat of the lehendakari has perhaps had to do with Macron advocating the establishment of a compulsory military service.

It is clear that the EU is going to go to the right and that employers, especially the large oligopolies (Iberdrola), have reason to be calm. And that is that weak social democracy, the traditional right and the extreme right will never go against the interests of big business. They will therefore no longer be taxed, except the other way round. Furthermore, internal tax havens, Luxembourg, Ireland, the Netherlands… will not be called into question.

I would say that the future of the euro is secured, and after surviving the financial crisis that began in 2008, I find it difficult for it to be repeated again. Moreover, it should be pointed out that, before the entry into force of the euro, the harsh conditions imposed by the Maastricht Treaty and the extraordinary measures to deal with this crisis had seriously damaged social well-being in Europe. In other words, the birth of the euro and the subsequent crisis has been paid for by the humble society, and the data on poverty support it, because the economic gap between the poorest and the richest has widened and continues to widen. I would say that it is European society that has assimilated the euro, and that the extreme right also feels comfortable with that currency.

Even in this election campaign, we did not know what is going to happen to the EU budget. Because the EU is understood as a federal state by some, but I would say that it is a long way off compared to our reference, the United States. The EU budget accounts for 1.24% of its GDP, while the US budget stands at 20%. Moreover, autonomous sources of funding are scarce and Member States’ contributions to compensation are obvious, and financial autonomy is therefore scarce.

Nor is it clear what will happen in the EU in the problem of immigrants. What we know is that we will continue to operate as a closed ‘castle’, making each Member State its own. We are also being shocked by Europeans because human rights are not being complied with in China, Russia or Iran, but when we or our advocates overtake those rights, we look elsewhere. And that's what we're doing with immigrants. We have exploited the places of origin of these immigrants, we have impoverished them and when they come to us we leave them on the high seas.

In short, the EU will continue far from being a federal state and will develop as an area of mutual change, but with the support of the internal market, especially so that Chinese goods do not compete with the prices of our goods. What is the purpose of the World Trade Organization!
