War
In the 1980s, the young Basques sang “si vis pacem, para bellum”. If you want peace, get ready for war, we screamed in Latin, without understanding very well the meaning of the phrase.
At that time, the Basque conflict was in the vortex and the world lived in the last years of the Cold War. The news about nuclear weapons was constant in the media: the neutron bomb, the missile shield, the red button -- the daily bread.
A quite long time of peace after the Second World War. On the other hand, the alleged peace was a reality, because preparation for war was constant.
Then came the time for the destruction of nuclear missiles, and it seemed that the spectre of large-scale war would be shattered.
But the Lords of War, although not globally, did not abandon their work and have since been breaking those old ghosts, which have a guerrilla business. By spreading the sounds of war, they are scared of paralysis in society and thereby fulfilling the goal of becoming cannon fodder for business to move forward.
If vis pacem, so it's not true for bellum, we need to shake the paralysis above.
