Grandfather's death?
Karmele Mitxelena published in this Xaguxar collection the story The Summer of Fresa in 2022. It narrated the summer adventures of some boys and girls. Now, instead, Aitona Flora's book is a much more interiorized, exciting story narrated from the point of view of the protagonist child, Danel.
Danel waits for his grandfather at the school door. It always comes in search, but this time it is being delayed a lot and it is very cold. Daniel speaks of a grandfather who is not present: “Jo, grandpa, in the North Pole does not make that cold either. A hundred billion times I have told you that I can only go home.” This is how the book begins to speak. And then Daniel talks about his grandfather, his dog, and his relationship with his grandfather, until he decides to go home alone. has realized a work that reads without problems and quickly introduces him to history. A work that talks
about many things, but above all, that encourages the reader to continue with history from the beginning to the end. The sorrow, the smile, the tears and the exciting moments are the ones that the reader lives through the 60 pages of the book, but over all these feelings one stands out: love.
