The news is that a professor at Harvard University of Architecture has been charged with copying part of his thesis. A couple of years ago, the scandal of a plagiarism complaint by the Dean of Princeton opened, and we had the opportunity to follow the case more closely, as the copist was a Spanish architect who collected in a book the whole process he experienced. He launched the sewers of the higher academy saying that far from being the house of knowledge and free thought that is supposed to the organization, in exchange for maintaining power, he turns the faculty into a militant of an ideology. Both are plots to write a series based on real facts: declaring the copy as an unacceptable malicious act, it benefits from the morality of lying to keep secret structures of power that cannot be recognized.
However, reproduction has been allowed in the area of building design. In fact, the realization of architecture over long historical periods has been an exercise of reproduction of bases. A general and aesthetic guide of the construction was formed and the architect applied the norms adapting them to the local conditions, making architecture of the variants of the copy. However, in a building it is often difficult to report that it has been copied and there is scarce legal jurisprudence in the field of architecture. On the other hand, there is a need not to copy when contemporaneity has demanded originality from buildings. The architect makes great efforts to make his original creation easily recognizable, and for this he has resorted to spectacularity, to make a striking form.
Copying can be pedagogical in the university, once public action is taken, how much is learned to copy! In the attempt to copy there is always a personal discovery, because you can't copy it from the top down, and that's when the novelty and the original contribution, probably small and humble, appears. And so we recognize that architecture is a collective knowledge, a collective copy.

On August 26, I woke up as if it were a normal Monday, I rose from bed and, with my arms overflowing, I woke up. But as soon as I got to the hallway, I knew that that wasn't one of those monotonous, heartless Monday forever. I found my parents in front of the computer reading the... [+]

Are baserritars on vacation? They ask in school. The students have answered no. So, working every day, would you like to be baserritarra in the future? And if nobody wants to be a baserritarra, who is going to make food for us? The question stayed in the air.
For the health and... [+]
The Assyrian and Babylonian students did not know the art of raising their hand. It took centuries, and maybe a few millennia, for a student at an Egyptian school, who wanted to ask him something, to try to raise his hand: the teacher who gave an explanation, and the student,... [+]
In these periods hyper accelerate and in these fluids the blunt responses offer us handles. It is easy in times of crisis to grasp such a premise and raise the flag. You need quick answers to understand everything that happens around you, which often leads us to look for the... [+]
Dear Mrs:
How about summer? I hope. On this occasion, I will go to the point, with your permission.
As you know, coming into the competitive logic of ultra-liberal markets, educational institutions must implement all kinds of "projects". You should know that many of them do not... [+]
It is often said that the summer season is a parenthesis in politics. Perhaps anyone who has a purely institutional view of politics thinks so, but the summer of this year, which is still about to end, has given us something to look at.
In the autonomous community of Araba,... [+]
It is not Christmas, however, there will soon be decorations in the big shops to announce it, or at least they say so. In the shop window “Zorionak! Claims like “Gabon ederra passes!” will be exposed everywhere. However, congratulations can be many: the lottery, bringing a... [+]
