The whole of Euskal Herria is called for a general strike under the slogan "Denon Bizitzak Erdigunea". On this occasion we would like to highlight the strength of this slogan. Because it is a claim to life itself and that is why it is so necessary. The feminist movement, to call strike, has focused on surveillance. But the essence of the call has the strength to go much further. The centralization of the lives of all living beings on the planet, only humans, reveals the need for changes at all levels of society. We are no longer talking only about our children or grandparents or about the situations suffered by the people who care for them, but about the situation that has allowed this to happen.
We could say that the triggering factors of the care crisis are the same. The capitalist, consumer and heteropatriarchal society in which we live has created a way of understanding the economy, politics and culture that turns its back (and makes it completely invisible) on the codependence and interdependence of human beings between us and with nature. This is based on the exploitation of the natural resources of the soil and the violation of the lives it considers "inferior".
Christian societies see the land as something to be cultivated (raped) with sweat, blood and suffering
However, this vision of such dramatic consequences can be considered relatively new in human history, and Eurocentric, as Yayo Herrero explained in last year’s eco-taxes. Denaturalizing this way of understanding things, we'll see that you can change, that it's not absolute, that it's not normal or eternal.
Not all societies have had or have the same way of understanding and relating to the planet. As a result of Christianity, in some European societies an image of the Earth that is crushed and needs to be treated (raped) with sweat, blood and suffering to obtain the necessary resources for life from it. The Earth is a criminal field for the human being, a punishment forever after being expelled from the perfect paradise. In other societies, however, Earth's plant animals are conceived as a gift from the gods and, in return, thank them for taking care of and respecting these "gift" lives. If we explore it in our country, we see that our ancestors had a different relationship with the Earth. These are different and contradictory approaches. One expanded globally by colonialism and massacres and the Earth is being destroyed. The other is closer to the ideas advocated by the feminist movement: the lives of all must be at the center.
The reflection and commitment of the feminist movement proposes an effective way to revolutionize the situation: life is at stake, the logic of capital must be excluded from the equation. Because this strike is to defend the logic of life, and we cannot stay on the mere denunciation, because we go on strike on 30 November. There are ways to be surprised with life in a more just and egalitarian way. Less despair and more fights!

I received your e-mail in personal mail on the strike portals. At first, like many others, I thought it was to let you know what options we have in the face of the strike. But no, the e-mail received was a political and communicative movement against the strike.

This weekend I've been thinking about the word 'aesthetic' in relation to a phrase said by a friend: “This work is aesthetic.” I have studied the etymology of the word aesthetic, it seems that its meaning was originally perceived through the senses, and it was later associated... [+]

We are in the midst of a world imperialist offensive led by the Western bourgeoisie. The form that the imperialist offensive has taken is that of war, with all its variants: economic war, cognitive and cultural war, lawfarr; and, of course, military war. Western imperialism has... [+]
I just saw a series from another sad detective. All the plots take place on a remote island in Scotland. You know how these fictions work: many dead, ordinary people but not so many, and the dark green landscape. This time it reminded me of a trip I made to the Scottish... [+]

And for another year, the unions have organized prefabricated strikes for us. And we, individually, will decide whether or not to join the strike, without the need for any assembly at the school.

Life surrounds everything, it is limited and fragile. To live good lives, it seems to me that the body knows what to do, while the mind, although it knows (when it is well informed), often sees the body deliberately silence. In this silence the mind opens itself to relations... [+]
