Joint solidarity
I have seen with displeasure the Basque solidarity with Palestine divided into two parts – and I did not want to enter Twitter as well, for the best of my tents, some of which are already there. I believe it is the responsibility of Palestine not to increase that division.
Some were going to be both in San Sebastian and in Bilbao, and most, I think, in one case or another, but in the way of going to both. I believe that among the demonstrators there was an important general feeling in both calls: We would like to protect Palestine, we are not equidistant, we do not see two sides in the war.
Because the state of Israel is based on the disappearance of Palestine, from the very theory of Zionism, "a land without people for people without land." It is a genocidal state, just look at the map of Palestine for decades or look at the data of the dead and refugees, for anyone who wants to know. The Palestinians resist their disappearance and, from time to time, in Gaza, in the West Bank, in the territories of 1948, in the refugee camps and in any part of the world, they scream or bleed to hear that disappearance.
We cannot be equated because Israel is doing this genocide with the help of the north-west states: Neither our states are equidistant.
To draw the Palestinian flag, a gesture in the profile of social networks, go to a demonstration, inform, sensitize... Nothing seems to be enough. It's also disappointing.

However, in 2005, 170 Palestinian associations, refugee networks, women’s organisations and trade unions launched the Boycott, Divestment and Punishment campaign against Israel (BDZ/BDS), with the aim of exerting real pressure on Israel on behalf of three fundamental rights: the right to return home of refugees, the end of the occupation of the Palestinian camps in the territories of 1948.
This campaign in the world has travelled a great way through universities, the world of music and sport, municipalities, trade unions, etc., and in Euskal Herria has also achieved good results and consensus. Palestinian civil society called and gave us an effective tool to work together solidarity with the Palestinian people on a daily basis.
