The future of txosnas
Pizzas made with local organic ingredients have been the most successful novelty of this year’s txosnas dinners. The two txosnas have jointly organized food preparation and while some were making pizzas at night, others have offered snacks. They've shared the benefits of cooking.
The txosnas have been opened not only at night but also day to offer breakfasts and organize a cultural offer for families. From the elderly, families, young people and children, the group of people in the enclosure is larger.
To ensure the presence of Euskera in all messages, consensus has been reached among all participants and initiatives for families and young people have been organized in Euskera. An equality paper has also been created to make the txosnagunea a safe space for all and to take steps towards gender equality in public space, in sports and cultural initiatives.
Some have made an energy contract with Goiener and the city hall is working on ideas to reduce the energy consumption of the area and gain autonomy, with young people studying this subject.
They are also thinking about how to offer a space to the new emigrants who have come to the people, to create a space that is a pleasure for all.

It could have been, but still our txosnagunea isn't. Although there has been a generational change in many comparsas, peñas and associations of the capitals, in others there are people with a lack of relay in the positions of responsibility and difficulties to obtain voluntary shifts. This calls into question the future of space and demands changes.
Since various institutions decided to implement txosnas on the town bank in the atmosphere of the Basque rock of the 1980s, from the periphery to the central space of the festivities, the txosnagas have traveled the way. But how do we build the alternative in the current centrality?
The sale or not of Red Bulla or the lack of card payment makes it difficult to imagine new models. In many places, however, txosnagas are the main focus of influence of transformative organizations. In addition, the need for economic resources to respond to repression has been reduced. This allows social and political txosnas to reinvent themselves.

In the north there are models. Perhaps the beginning of new paths will lead to a change, renewal and the necessary illusion.
