The Euskadi Orchestra gifted a program full of passion and great musicality to end the season 2022-23.Tres great composers and a great soloist were undoubtedly the delight of the listeners of the Theater Principal.La night began with the beautiful opening of
Richard
Wagner, the singing master of Nuremberg. The two big themes were presented calmly and elegantly, and the group safely and soundly adapted to Robert Treviño’s orders.
But, of course, the central moment of the program is Fa Minor's 2 for Chopin piano and orchestra. It came with the concert performed by one of the best pianists in the current panorama. It was clear why Yulianna Avdeeva won the 2010 Chopin Competition (she was the first woman since Martha Argerich got it in 1965).
They emphasized at all times the elegant presentation of their musical discourse, the unbeatable sound, the moderate and correct use of the pedal, the proper breathing of the musical phrases and the fine rhythm printed in the phrasing. The concert was a flow of technique and passion, with infinite elegance. The magnificent and delicious pianisis and its brilliance, agility and energy make it a perfect pianist.
Faced with the well-deserved applause it received, it offered as a bis a miniature of Xostakovich, a bals, in which once again its delicate pulsation was revealed.
And this was precisely the lead composer of the second part of the concert. The Euskadi Orchestra "gleamed", 15 in Dimitri Xostakovich. Symphony in the largest, op. 41 with the last work of the Russian artist. It's a rare composition, with quotes from works by other composers, that really shifts the listener. Since Xostakovich was approaching death at that time, it must be understood that it does not grant concessions in this work and that it presents my most intimate in the sight of the listener.
The Orchestra was at the expected height. Treviño performed a good work of sound assembly and compaction, which undoubtedly resulted in a elegant and noble version.
When we talk about French composers, we think of Claude Debussy and Ravel. There are those who have fun defending one or the other as the best French composer of all time. Frankly, two geniuses have been absolute, as a result of the circumstances of their time. They were a very... [+]
