On 25 March, the dispersal of Basque prisoners officially ended. According to the head of the El País line, "34 years later, the Spanish Ministry of the Interior has put an end to the dispersion of ETA prisoners". The Basque media also reported the date, while political parties published their reading. For example, the PNV, as usual, once again used the occasion to point out that Basque prisoners had to reflect and ask for forgiveness and recognition for the pain caused. Meanwhile, EH Bildu highlighted the date as "moral victory."
With these incidents, my memory machine was launched. My first trip to a Spanish prison was in 1980. The Gypsy and Basque women I found at the gates of Carabanchel taught me a lot of things, and in a way, it was my first lesson about female cooperation. Then travel and miles increased. So for years, every weekend, a ritual was set up in my life: appointments, packages, calls, small hour trips so I don’t get late… And now I’ve realized that I never wondered about the meaning of that vengeance.
When I hear the justifications for the policy of dispersion, I feel a huge rage and at the same time despair.
My weekend ritual ended and my life returned to normal, but for many weekends I have remembered the walkers of love. Many have aged on the roads, some have lost health and life… and all in return for nada.Por that, when I hear the justifications of the policy of dispersion, I
feel a great anger and at the same time despair. I believe that the end of the violation of rights after 34 years cannot be considered a "moral victory". Moreover, I still find it offensive that the authorities have imposed a dispersion to relieve the pressure of ETA’s management.
Dispersion was established as an instrument of war against terrorism, for which the State authorities had the invaluable assistance of the PNV, and its use meant the violation of the fundamental rights of a collective person. It was neither legal nor legitimate; not 34 years ago, not today. Not when the struggle was armed, nor after the dissolution of ETA. Because when powers condition individual and collective human rights, nobody is sure, and in Euskal Herria we know that well.
From now on, the friends and relatives of the Basque prisoners are not going to travel as many kilometres and their lives will surely be a little easier. Too many years have passed, and unfortunately some have not been able to get here…, because in these 34 years the policy of dispersion has been criminal. Let us not forget that!

The disaster caused by the cold drop in Valencia has left us dramatic images, both because of the immediate consequences it has had, and because the future awaiting us has brought us forward: that this type of extreme climate phenomena will be increasingly numerous and serious... [+]

Since the disappearance of the Soviet Union, rusophobia has been growing. The concept of security of the UN Security Council of 2002 is very clear and indicates that the security and stability of the planet must depend on the states that do not intend to challenge the United... [+]
Andoni Urrestarazu Landazabal was born in the village of Araia on 16 July 1902 and died in Vitoria on 21 November 1993. It is now 31 years old and I think it is time to recognize his name and be, because the legacy he left is not well known. Umandi used the name of a mountain in... [+]

I have done a review from the announcement of the pandemic to the tragedy in Valencia and have concluded that the disastrous institutional management that lies and forupe as firewalls is constant of the ruling class.

November 19 is World Bathing Day. Even today, in the twenty-first century, many workers here in the Basque Country do not have the right to use the toilet in their working days. Many transport workers are an example of this.

The Sanmartines are well known in our homes, as it is time to kill the pig. However, many people will not know that before St. Martin's day marked the end of the agricultural year. And that was no nonsense. In fact, at the end of the year, I had to pay an annual rent to my... [+]

“You learn walking and singing.” This has been one of the subjects this week in the groups of C2. It wasn't about learning to sing or walking, it was about using the future correctly. The activity has given me what to think and I've wondered how we learn to teach. I've heard... [+]
