Black
Since the twentieth century we have come out with a grave fear of words. We did not go further into naming things, everything is circumvolution, metaphor and euphemism as if we tried to alleviate the harsh reality: Elkano did not share the dream of the king of Portugal and from him “bunches” to subaltern black citizens. There is no race in the human species and all the lands that pushed the barbarism of the shoah, apartheid or segregation have been specified.
I have to say that I am produced by a cymatics, when there are people who do not want to pronounce the word “black” and say that blacks are “racist”. This winding up of the language is also held by white commentators, as in the George Floyd death protests in 2020 black citizens proclaimed the “black lives matter”. Sometimes, it seems to me that this new awakening of the concept of race has a touch of neocolonialism, because those who have your skin are not considered “racist”. And going further, isn’t it, pointing to race, a black or, in its possible “race”, to adapt it?
It is always the other “reasoned”...
