The neighbors were not surprised. So we could listen from the radio, in the car, back home. Journalists also received it in the writings everywhere, as they say they have to do when any fatal event is a fact: it was expected, everything was noise, screaming and it was a bird in that house; no satisfaction was seen when they went down to the street. My mind made me back in other times. How many neighbor tests have not
been received when a dead woman has been found? Not misunderstood, times are also present. But after all the social and feminist work we've done, at least we get in the way, we feel at the suspicion on the other side of the house wall. On the contrary, it seems that this does not happen if those in the spotlight are children.

Children remain private property. As the woman was the private property of her husband. Much more private in the era of the privatization of relations, in which individuals have isolated themselves in our most particular areas and raised a fence around them. And even though these little people, while dying of the elderly in the elderly, will interact with the tribe and interact with each other, the tribe cannot tell. It is a strong social convention. We know that well. That's why neighbors are silenced and not surprised.

But it is a matter that goes much further. Children have always been useful means of our service. This slow way of life (and add so many names: capitalist, consumer, patriarchal, exploitative, merciless…) is a gigantic generating frustration. And it is well known that, when you don't know how to manage the frustrations, you tend to take the simplest path: to force another weaker to pay. We don't know how to feel powerful if there's no other oppressed.

Childhood, within the complex network of power relations, is a social group especially vulnerable. Yes, a social group with all its own characteristics that suffers spontaneous oppression. And one of the few who, because of their high degree of dependence and dependence, has no chance of self-defense.

As I have ever said, Latino infans, infantis means “voiceless.” The child is not the one who does not know how to speak, but the one who does not speak in public, who does not bring forth what he has to say. According to Manfred Liebel, they have the characteristics of “mutated groups”: they meet the lower level of society; they have been taken away from legitimacy and have no recognition (childhood is a negligible term); they have no capacity to decide, nor are they able to influence political, economic and social issues that are of direct interest to them.

Mistreatment and violence are the last step on the ladder, the most spectacular, as is the case in all crushing. These are often seen as isolated cases, as abuses by cruel and savage parents, without socio-political context. We are not prepared to give voice to those who have no voice, nor to have their political voice.

As we go through years, since our social position improves substantially, we prefer to forget it, to ignore it. We often tend to idealize childhood. But basically we are all part of that subordinate social group. We should have valuable subjects to get out of there.
