We live in the age of the global imperialist offensive. Usually, imperialism is associated with its more explicit and savage face: imperialist war. However, imperialism is a much more complex process that is manifested in the relationship of domination of the imperialist center over the "peripheries". Imperialism means war, but it has other faces: economic dependence, the exploitation of resources and the workforce and the expropriation of culture. Cultural expropriation is fundamental to imperialism. Cultural imperialism is the imposition of dominant culture and the destruction of local cultures, rituals, customs and ways of life. It is also the imposition of a story that becomes History (Single and Official).
The way imperialism influences history is revisionism. Its power is not to invent history, but to make an interested use of "historical time." As Chimanda Ngozi Adichie says, "the easiest way to expropriate a people is to start telling their story from the second half." In the same vein, Mourid Barghouti says: "He begins to tell the story from the second half, and the arrows of the American Indians will become criminals and the weapons of the whites will become victims"; likewise, "the rage that blacks can feel against whites will become a real cruelty."
The beginning of history since the second part is a mark of cultural imperialism. The second part is because it legitimizes coups, military interventions, arrests, torture and genocide.
The beginning of history since the second part is a mark of cultural imperialism. The second part is because it legitimises coups, military interventions, arrests, torture and genocide. All the Western media and politicians from the second half tell us all the conflicts of the imperialist offensive. Thus, we are told that the war in Ukraine began in February 2022, with the invasion of Russia, but not with the bombings on Donbass in 2014. They also say that the "conflict" between Israel and Palestine began with the rockets launched from Gaza to Tel Aviv and not with the colonization of Israel and the policy of apartheid. The "destabilization" of Libya, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq, for their part, whispers that it began from the power vacuum and the context of the civil war and not with the imperialist invasion. And they tell us that the misery that the African continent is experiencing started with "tribal conflicts" and not with imperialist colonizations, wars, coups and genocides.
Today, fighting imperialism is also reappropriating our history, breaking with a unique story and destroying a story that starts in the second part. It is necessary to tell history from the first section, from which we will be allowed to turn history into a battlefield and an instrument of freedom.

With the words of poet Vicent Andrés Estellés, I am one among so many cases, and not an isolated, rare or extraordinary case. Unfortunately, no. Among so many, one. In particular, according to the Council of Europe, and among other major institutions such as Save The Children,... [+]
The housing problem is a structural problem that comes from far away. What should be a human right is nothing more than a subjective right. I say that it is a fraud because, although all the institutions and all the political parties say nice words, they do not grasp the... [+]

We have been hearing the views of Iñigo Errejón on the accusations of male violence in all media and social media for a few weeks. In addition, many controversies are emerging: how we should denounce women, how our sexual relations should be, recognition, silences of those who... [+]
There are those who say that elections serve only to give legal status to political decisions. And there are not very many who think that way. Okay, but with that, a lot of things are said, among other things, that real power, power, is out of that game.
But, in my view,... [+]
A father from Bilbao has asked me about the secondary education protocol being developed at the AMPA around mobiles.
As I read on the website of the Basque Government, in January 2024 there was talk in schools about the regulation of mobiles, that there will be no prohibition... [+]
Sometimes you make a blessing, and say where you had to say it, for sure, and when you're done, you want to cry loudly. When everything was over, with the affection of the luggage, he gave you a long hug as if he were holding you.

Five decades later, we seem to be leaving behind the Washington Consensus. The climate crisis and, above all, the rise of China have reinvented the interest in leadership and the active participation that the country should have in the economy. The former austerity managers,... [+]
Following the complaint against Iñigo Errejón for machista violence, it seems that some have realised that in parties, unions and leftist institutions, women are not free to receive violence from affiliated men. In addition, it has become clear that in these situations some... [+]
Two years ago Urdaibai Guggenheim Stop! Since the creation of the popular platform, Urdaibai is not for sale! We hear the chorus everywhere. On 19 October we met thousands of people in Gernika to reject this project and, in my opinion, there are three main reasons for opposing... [+]
