One of the most beautiful collateral damages of bringing Santi's words to paper and writing Txori Urdin has been listening to the people I've had next to me in the local presentations -- most ex-prisoners, but not all.
At the premises of Hala Bedi in Vitoria, Santi Silvia’s sister raised her close relationship with poverty and the secret condemnation of the prisoners’ relatives. Mitxel recalled the bilateral solidarity between social and political prisoners, highlighting social support for Basque political prisoners. He told us that in those FIES galleries that Santi lived, they put a single Basque political prisoner to murder him.
At the Texas Factory in San Sebastian, Anselmo, a clandestine vinero from the Villabona prison, praised the joy of life as a survival weapon for the prison and belonged to the nobility of Santi. In the Roca of Bilbao, Julen and José told us many experiences shared with Santi that cannot be counted.
In Laba de Pamplona, Idoia linked punitivism to patriarchy, and he explained the lights and shadows of the non-punitive management of male chauvinist attacks and highlighted the domestic tasks that men have to do. He argued that the community should take responsibility for managing conflicts.
On the Return to Bilbao, Atxarte agreed that the conflicts would come out of the courts and return to the community… If we are able to transform the community and ourselves, today, “perhaps more preferably a judge of the National Court in the Nazi trial than the community,” the provocator expelled. Itziar, in audio from prison, stressed the need to address the issue of prison from the left to bring down all prisons and promote alternatives from today.
At Epaiska in Baiona, Lorentxa spoke clearly about the hatred that prison violence feeds on the prisoner, thinking about the pulse of going against the control of the Civil Guard who found on the recently fired road. Maite was right in the post-conference boat that he did not intend to harm anyone by joining the armed struggle, but dreamed of hurting certain incarcerators.
For all those who have killed jails, they have been buried alive in prison and survive in prison. We're all blue birds.
After a swallow, Irati tells me that Txori Urdin has put a friend in jail. Mikel has told him that he has brought the readings back to life in the years that he was involved in the newspaper, with fear of being put in and beaten in one of the night visits that the jails made to his cell. José stresses that Santi explains very well the difficulties of dismissal after many years.
In Errekaleor de Vitoria, Ekaitz recognized associations such as Salhaketa for dealing with the most marginalized prisoners and nurturing abolitionist views. Asier recalled that on Fridays in jail they were called “Walking Dead Day”: on weekends, because they did not have a doctor in jail, prisoners totally dependent on drugs were replaced by the daily dose of a three day pill, and he says that the image of the zombie yard was truly terrifying.
In the Mint of Ortzaiz, Filip told us how the maximum security prison was set on fire, with the union of social and political prisoners, and how he penalized those encounters. Iker stressed that prison is an extreme reflection of capitalist society, and that in order to demolish one one must overcome the other. Oskar recalled the support FIES prisoners gave him in his prison and how they told him, reminding the Basque prisoner Mitxel referred to: “We don’t know how his FIES colleague has survived.”
The answer to this question was given by Mitxel himself a few months earlier in Vitoria's first presentation. Because that same Basque prisoner told him, while they were both in jail, how he managed to survive: “I am here thanks to Paco Ortiz”. Paco Ortiz, prisoner FIES, attractive bank abroad, fugitive inside, wrestler, mutinist. He had been locked for 23 years and committed suicide. However, the prisoner who saved from death is still alive, recently he has re-crossed Santi in prison, who has greeted Txori Urdinak's copy in hand. Mitxel read us the end of Paco’s farewell letter to finish his speech: “I will die. For me, for all my colleagues, for the dignity of every human being, for a free world, full of awake people and without prison.” No prison.
For all those who have killed jails, they have been buried alive in prison and survive in prison. We're all blue birds.

I received your e-mail in personal mail on the strike portals. At first, like many others, I thought it was to let you know what options we have in the face of the strike. But no, the e-mail received was a political and communicative movement against the strike.

This weekend I've been thinking about the word 'aesthetic' in relation to a phrase said by a friend: “This work is aesthetic.” I have studied the etymology of the word aesthetic, it seems that its meaning was originally perceived through the senses, and it was later associated... [+]
In recent years, the concept of industrial policy has reappeared strongly at various levels. The organization that was the hammer of neoliberalism, the International Monetary Fund, today insists that markets have been pressured to allocate resources efficiently and solve these... [+]
The other day in Bilbao, I met a friend at the Bira bar. We were very happy at the Tar and I said: “Of course, since you’re Guipúzcoa, hahahaha.” And he insisted that he was not Guipuzcoan. Without me understanding it, I kept saying, “Ah! Is it not? You were born in New... [+]
Zalantza asko izan ditut, meloia ireki ala ez. Ausartuko naiz, zer demontre! Aspaldian buruan dudan gogoeta jarri nahi dut mahai gainean: ez da justua erditu den emakumearen eta beste gurasoaren baimen-iraupena bera izatea. Hobeto esanda, baimen-denbora bera izanda ere, ez... [+]
We are in the midst of a world imperialist offensive led by the Western bourgeoisie. The form that the imperialist offensive has taken is that of war, with all its variants: economic war, cognitive and cultural war, lawfarr; and, of course, military war. Western imperialism has... [+]
I just saw a series from another sad detective. All the plots take place on a remote island in Scotland. You know how these fictions work: many dead, ordinary people but not so many, and the dark green landscape. This time it reminded me of a trip I made to the Scottish... [+]
To be honest, I don't know why I'm writing this. In today’s hostile environment, opinions of this kind are not well received. Perhaps LUZ will not publish this because it does not correspond to the opinions they have published so far (but if they have finally decided to publish... [+]

And for another year, the unions have organized prefabricated strikes for us. And we, individually, will decide whether or not to join the strike, without the need for any assembly at the school.
The strike model that I was taught is no longer in vogue, it seems. In my... [+]
Life surrounds everything, it is limited and fragile. To live good lives, it seems to me that the body knows what to do, while the mind, although it knows (when it is well informed), often sees the body deliberately silence. In this silence the mind opens itself to relations... [+]
